those eyes

yesterday i made cupcakes again =]
with the same recipe as before and everything was running smoothly until i opened the fridge and there was no butter in sight. i searched and i searched and in the end i came to the conclusion that we had run out of butter.
i was devastated.
SO i went back to the benchtop trying to figure out what in the world i was going to do and my eyes landed on a jar of crunchy peanut butter. i mean peanut butter is pretty much the same thing as butter.........just with peanuts yeah =] so i put like half the jar in and i tried to mix it with my electric mixer. The thing is the mixture was so thick it actually stopped my electric mixer. I thought it broke but it didn't. thankgosh for that. So then i added about half a cup of water and it sort of mixed but the electric mixer went very slowly 0_0
I then baked them thinking, wooo i have peanut butter cupcakes now =]
They took ten minutes longer than usual to bake and they looked and smelled really goood, even if they were starting to burn. Then i ate one................... the outside of the cupcake was really nice and crunchy and inside it was all soft and cupcaky, but it didn't really have any flavour even if i put half the jar in. So i didn't like it. Then my brother tried one and he loved it so i ended up giving all of them to him .
